SUMMARY:OCP EMEA Summit 2025
DESCRIPTION:DENT is honored to serve as an Open Source Partner of the 2025 OCP EMEA Summit held April 29–30 in Dublin\, Ireland. DENT will host a booth alongside other Linux Foundation projects where we will offer technical demonstrations for attendees. Join DENT at OCP EMEA 2025 to learn how DENT offers retail edge networking solutions. \nThe OCP EMEA Summit serves as a platform where global technical leaders come together to tackle the issues related to data center sustainability\, energy efficiency and heat reuse in the region. The focus is on exploring how innovations from hyperscale data center operators can contribute to solving these challenges. The OCP EMEA Summit also highlights deployments of specific OCP-recognized data center equipment in the EMEA region. \nThe key areas of emphasis for 2025 will be Data Center Sustainability\, AI\, Security & Data Protection\, Power & Cooling and Deployments. Additionally\, invited talks will dive into topics such as quantum technology\, optics and telecommunications. Participants will move forward the OCP Community’s role in developing and implementing a sustainable and scalable computational infrastructure for the future in Europe.

SUMMARY:DORC/CLUC 2025
DESCRIPTION:At DORS/CLUC 2025\, Juraj Vijtiuk of Sartura will present 33-Hour Rescue Mission – StarDENT Insider Tales\, a technical deep dive into building and operating StarDENT—a fully open source\, Linux-based network management and observability stack. \nDrawing from a real-world 33-hour debugging effort\, Juraj will walk through the system architecture\, including the Linux kernel configuration\, integration of sysrepo\, Netopeer2\, and holo-routing for NETCONF/YANG-based automation\, and the use of eBPF and OpenTelemetry for observability. He’ll also cover the development of a lightweight RESTful API layer for exposing functionality. \nThe session offers practical insight into the design decisions\, integration work\, and lessons learned in building a production-grade solution aligned with DENT’s open networking goals. \nAlgebra University\, Zagreb \nMay 22–23\, 2025 \nFull session details: https://www.dorscluc.org/person/juraj-vijtiuk/

SUMMARY:Open Source Summit North America 2025
DESCRIPTION:At Open Source Summit North America 2025 (Denver\, CO\, June 23–25\, 2025)\, Kyle Swenson of Ericsson will present new upstream Linux kernel support for the LTC4266\, the last major Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) chipset to be integrated. This work builds on PoE controller support funded by the DENT project\, which enabled upstream drivers for the Microchip and TI chipsets. The talk will walk through the fundamentals of PoE\, the in-kernel framework\, user-space control interface\, and the specifics of the new LTC4266 driver\, marking an important milestone in building out comprehensive PoE support in Linux networking. \nExtending Power Over Ethernet to the LTC4266 – Kyle Swenson\, Ericsson Software Technology: June 23\, 3:35–4:15 MDT \nFull schedule & more on Open Source Summit North America 2025: https://ossna2025.sched.com/ \n
